2024 A Year In Review Part One
With the postponement of this weekend's Blackburn Rovers match, now that we've played our last competitive football of the year, I'm guessing there's still some training sessions left to do for the lasses, time to have a look back over the year that was 2024. January Played 4, W2, L2, Scored 12, Conceded 8 After a huge 11-3 home win against AFC Fylde to close out 2023 it was back to FAWNL league action at Kingston Park on 7th January as NUW got 2024 off to an impressive start with a 7-0 win against Halifax. This was originally due to be the opening match of the season but was postponed due to the Women's Word Cup Final. If I remember correctly, it was postponed a second time as well in late November or early December. Katie Barker opened the scoring after only 2 minutes.
